PR Studio privacy policy

Who we are
PR Studio is operated by PR Studio LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we", "us"). We decide what the app collects and why, so we are responsible for the data described here.

The short version
- We collect what the app needs to work: your account, your training, and, if you use coaching, what you share with your coach.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising. There is no advertising SDK and no marketing-analytics SDK in the app.
- Some of what you log is health-related data: body measurements, date of birth, sex, height, injuries, nutrition and training. We treat it as sensitive and share it only with the service providers listed below and with a coach you choose to work with.
- Some features send data to Google's Gemini AI models. Each one is listed below, with exactly what it sends.
- PR Studio is for people 18 and over.
- You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app or from getprstudio.com/delete-account.
What PR Studio stores
Grouped by why it exists. Everything here is stored in Google Firebase on our behalf.

You can start using the app as a guest before you create an account. A guest account stores the same kinds of data. If you then create an account, what you logged as a guest carries over to it.
Your training and health-related data

Photos
The only photo PR Studio stores is your profile photo. You choose it with Android's photo picker, which gives the app that one image and nothing else from your gallery.

Device and diagnostics
When the app crashes or runs slowly, Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring record technical details: device model, Android version, app version, the error and what the app was doing, and network timings. Crash reports are tagged with your account's internal ID so we can fix a problem you report. We use these only to find and fix bugs.
Payments
We never see or store your card details. Coaching payments are entered into Stripe's own payment form, and Pro subscriptions are bought through Google Play. We store only the result: whether a subscription is active, and identifiers that let our servers check it with Stripe or Google.
Who can see your data in the app
- Other PR Studio users can see your display name, handle and profile photo, for example when they search for you by handle or see you in a list.
- Your friends can see your Gym Stream posts and your email address.

Your coach, while a coaching relationship is
active, can see:
- your Gym Stream posts and your email address;
- the programmes they have shared with you, and what you have logged against them;
- your sex, date of birth, height, and your training questionnaire answers;
- your injuries and limitations, but only if you allow it (you can turn this off at any time in your training profile);
- your nutrition logs, targets and body measurements, if your coach manages your nutrition.
Your coach cannot see your chats with other people, your friendships, or anything belonging to another coach. When the relationship ends, their access ends with it. We cannot take back what they have already seen.
Service providers who process your data
These companies handle data on our instructions so the app can work. We do not sell data to anyone, and none of them is an advertising network.

Images in the app, such as profile photos, are loaded from Firebase Storage, or from Google's servers for a Google profile photo.
The AI features, and exactly what they send
Five features send data to Google's Gemini models. Each runs only when you use it, or, for the AI coach, while you have it switched on. What is sent is what that feature needs, not your whole account.

Your nutrition targets are calculated by our own code from your weight, height, age and sex. Those details are not sent to Gemini.
What is sent is not used to train Google's models. These requests go to Vertex AI on Google Cloud, under our own Google Cloud project, rather than to Google's consumer Gemini service. Google Cloud's terms provide that customer data sent this way is not used to train or improve Google's models.

Voice logging
You can log a set by speaking it, when you tap the microphone button. The app is not listening at any other time. Where your phone can transcribe speech on the device, nothing leaves the phone.
On a phone that cannot, you can choose to turn on cloud transcription in Settings. It is off by default. With it on, your recorded audio and the resulting text go to your phone's default speech service (on most phones that is Google), under that provider's privacy policy. PR Studio never receives the audio and does not store the transcript.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not show advertising, and there is no advertising SDK in the app.
- There is no marketing-analytics SDK in the app. The only diagnostics are the crash and performance reports described above.
- We do not read your private messages, except when reviewing a report that you or the person you were talking to filed.
- We do not collect your location. The app holds no location permission.
- We do not access your contacts or your camera, and we see only the one photo you pick for your profile. The app holds no permission for any of them.
How long we keep it
While your account exists, we keep your data so the app can show it to you. When you delete your account:
- Deletion is scheduled 30 days after you ask. During those 30 days you can cancel it in Settings, or just by signing in again.
- After the 30 days, our servers delete your data. The job runs daily, and a large account can take more than one run to finish.
- A coaching subscription you are paying for is cancelled first. A Google Play subscription is not cancelled by deleting your account: cancel it in the Play Store.
Some records are kept after deletion, for the reasons given:
- Records shared with another person (a friendship, a coaching relationship, a conversation) stay on their side, with your name and photo replaced by "Deleted account". This includes the chat messages you sent: they stay in the other person's conversation, without your name.
- Blocks you made stay in place, so deleting your account never unblocks someone you blocked.
- Reviews you left for a coach stay, without your name, so a coach's rating does not change because you left.
- Reports filed about a message, conversation or comment are kept as the record our review relies on.
- Custom exercises you created stay in the shared exercise list, because other people's programmes may use them. They do not show your name.
- A record that a deletion happened, with counts of what was removed, keyed to your account's internal ID.
- Payment records that Stripe and Google keep under their own legal obligations.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, get a copy of it, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Here is how:
- Correct: most of your data can be edited directly in the app: your profile, measurements, nutrition, training log and questionnaire.
- Delete: in the app, under Settings, then Account, then Delete Account; or at getprstudio.com/delete-account.
- Access or a copy: the app has no export button yet. Email us and we will send you a copy of your data.
- Anything else, including an objection or a question about this policy: email support@getprstudio.com.
We respond to every request within 30 days. We may ask you to email us from the address on your account, so we know the request is yours.
If you are in the UK or the EEA, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Age
PR Studio is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete it. If you believe someone under 18 is using PR Studio, email support@getprstudio.com.
Security
Data travels between the app and our servers encrypted, and Google Firebase encrypts it where it is stored. Database access rules restrict each kind of record to the people it belongs to or is shared with. Payment, purchase and subscription status can only be set by our servers, never by the app. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app, not just here.
Governing law
This policy is given by PR Studio LLC, a Texas limited liability company, and is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, subject to any privacy rights the law where you live gives you.
